2017 MacBook Pro Unboxing

During Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) Apple unveiled new computers including new iMac and MacBook. All computers except the MacBook Air, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro included the addition of Intel’s new Kaby Lake processors. They also updated the Thunderbolt port on the iMac changing the 2 Thunderbolt 2 ports to 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports.

So which did I get? I purchased the new 2017 MacBook Pro. Unboxing it is like unboxing any other Apple product.
First, carefully cut off the outer plastic and lift the top part of the box up. You are now looking at your new MacBook, front and center, in a plastic wrap.
I configured my MacBook Pro with a 7th-generation Intel Core i7 and 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory for the ultimate speed. I have also kept the basic 512GB SSD and included the Touch Bar because I thought that would be cool to experiment with. The touch bar models are the only MacBooks that come with 4 USB-C ports.
The MacBook Pro function button models only have 2 USB-C. The massive trackpad is the first thing I notice when opening the lid. It takes up almost two-thirds of the bottom of this incredibly small and compact computer.
The computer itself is super small and compact, height .59in (1.49cm) and 11.9in (30.41cm) narrow. It weighs only 3.02lbs (1.37kg). The small and light shape make it very portable.

Included in the box are documentation and charging cables. This new MacBook charges using a USB-C to USB-C cord that plugs into the power adapter. The brick 61W USB-C Power Adapter still has the sliding power adapter so you can plug in foreign adapters.
