Many users have complained to Apple that their new butterfly mechanism keyboard breaks easily. Apple says the following issues may arise while using a faulty keyboard:

  • buttons type repeat automatically
  • buttons clicked don’t register
  • keys may not push like they should

If you believe that your MacBook or MacBook Pro is having these issues and it is a qualifying model Apple suggest that you contact a service provider, set up an appointment at an Apple retail store or mail your device into a repair store. (See link below)

DO NOT TAKE TO A 3RD for repair
Getting your MacBook repaired by a non-authorized Apple service provider can result in a fee, damage to your MacBook, and possibly void your warranty. Please contact an Apple to schedule an appointment (see link below) to ensure that your issue is resolved the correct way.
